Description of Service

MealMint is an AI-powered meal planning and nutrition platform that provides:

• AI Recipe Generation: Personalized recipes created by artificial intelligence based on your preferences, dietary needs, and available ingredients
• Meal Planning: Weekly and monthly meal planning tools with automatic nutritional balancing
• Shopping Lists: Automatically generated shopping lists with optional supermarket price comparisons (where available)
• Nutrition Tracking: Calorie, macronutrient, and micronutrient tracking for meals and recipes
• Household Management: Multi-profile support for families with individual dietary preferences
• Recipe Storage: Save, organize, and share your favorite recipes

Features may vary by subscription tier. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Account Registration and Security

To access certain features of MealMint, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:

• Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You may not share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account. MealMint is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or appear to be compromised.

Subscriptions and Payments

MealMint offers free and paid subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your chosen plan in the currency displayed
• Provide valid and current payment information
• Authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring fees

Pricing and Changes

• All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable VAT for EU customers
• We may change subscription prices with 30 days' notice
• Price changes apply from your next billing period
• You may cancel before price changes take effect

Refunds

• EU Consumers: You have 14 days from purchase to withdraw from your subscription and receive a full refund, unless you have actively used the service during this period
• General Policy: Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. Partial refunds are not provided for unused time
• Billing Errors: Contact us within 30 days to dispute any billing errors

Free Trial Terms

MealMint may offer free trials of paid features. During a free trial:

• You will have access to premium features for the trial period
• No payment method is required to start a trial (unless otherwise stated)
• If a payment method is provided, you will be charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand
• Free trials are limited to one per person/household
• We reserve the right to determine trial eligibility and terminate trials that violate these terms

At the end of your trial, your account will revert to the free tier unless you subscribe to a paid plan.

AI-Generated Content and Limitations

MealMint uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate recipes, meal plans, and nutritional information. By using these features, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Not Professional Advice: AI-generated content is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical, dietary, nutritional, or health advice from qualified professionals.
• Accuracy Limitations: Nutritional calculations are estimates based on ingredient databases and may vary from actual values depending on specific products, preparation methods, and portion sizes.
• Allergy and Safety: While we attempt to respect your stated dietary restrictions and allergies, AI may occasionally include unsuitable ingredients. Always review recipes carefully before preparation, especially if you have food allergies or medical dietary requirements.
• No Medical Claims: MealMint does not claim that following AI-generated meal plans will achieve specific health outcomes. Consult healthcare professionals for medical dietary needs.

We continuously work to improve AI accuracy but cannot guarantee error-free content. Your feedback helps us improve.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use MealMint only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the service without permission
• Circumvent usage limits or restrictions on your subscription tier
• Share your account with others or use the service on behalf of third parties
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use the service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or systematically collect AI-generated content for commercial purposes

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

Intellectual Property Rights

MealMint's Property: The MealMint service, including all software, design, graphics, interfaces, and content created by MealMint, is owned by MealMint ApS and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content: You retain ownership of any original recipes, notes, or content you create and upload to MealMint. By using the service, you grant MealMint a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

• Store, display, and distribute your content within the service
• Use your content to provide and improve our services to you
• Share your content with other users if you choose to make it public

AI-Generated Content: Recipes and content generated by our AI for you may be used by you for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not claim exclusive ownership of AI-generated recipes or prevent others from receiving similar AI-generated content.

Data Portability and Account Switching

In accordance with the EU Data Act (effective September 2025), you have the right to:

• Export Your Data: Download your recipes, meal plans, preferences, and other content in a machine-readable format (JSON/CSV) at any time from your account settings
• Switch Services: Move your data to another provider. We support standard export formats to facilitate this
• No Exit Penalties: You will not be charged fees for exporting your data or closing your account

Data export includes your recipes, meal history, and preferences but does not include MealMint's proprietary AI models or third-party content.

Third-Party Services and Integrations

MealMint may integrate with or link to third-party services:

• Payment Processing (Stripe): Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Your use of payment services is subject to Stripe's Terms of Service
• AI Services (Anthropic):AI features are powered by Anthropic's Claude. Your interactions are subject to our data processing agreements with Anthropic
• Supermarket Integrations: Where available, shopping list features may link to third-party retailers. Purchases are made directly with those retailers under their terms

We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services. Links to external sites do not constitute endorsement.

Disclaimers

Service "As Is":To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MealMint is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Nutritional information will be completely accurate
• AI-generated content will be free from errors or suitable for your needs
• Results from using the service will meet your expectations

EU Consumer Rights: If you are a consumer in the EU, this disclaimer does not affect your statutory rights under consumer protection laws, including rights regarding digital content and services under the Digital Content Directive.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• MealMint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) 100 EUR
• We are not liable for damages arising from: your reliance on nutritional information, AI-generated content errors, third-party service failures, or your failure to maintain account security

EU Consumer Protection: For consumers in the European Union, these limitations do not apply to: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, (c) any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory EU consumer protection laws.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MealMint, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your content uploaded to the service
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your misuse of the service

This indemnification obligation does not apply to EU consumers to the extent prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws.

Termination

By You: You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon termination:

• Your subscription will end at the current billing period
• You may export your data before account deletion
• Your data will be deleted within 30 days (unless legally required to retain)

By MealMint: We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
• Your account appears compromised or fraudulent
• Required by law or to protect our users
• We discontinue the service (with reasonable notice)

Upon termination for cause, you may not be entitled to refunds. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
• We will notify you via email at least 30 days before changes take effect
• We will display a prominent notice on our website

Your continued use of MealMint after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the service before they take effect.

For EU consumers, material changes that negatively affect your rights will require your explicit acceptance.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict of law principles.

For Non-Consumer Disputes: Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration in Copenhagen, Denmark, conducted in English under the rules of the Danish Institute of Arbitration.

For EU Consumers: You have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under mandatory EU consumer protection laws.

Severability and Entire Agreement

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MealMint regarding the service and supersede all prior agreements.

No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
